Capturing the original geometry
We 3D scanned the original cover and used the measurements to reconstruct the geometry and mating features in CAD. Those features determine how the new part interfaces with the existing differential.
Developing the design
We worked on the exterior shape, ribs, ports and internal geometry, considering a layout for active differential cooling under sustained load. The CAD model was the basis for machining preparation.
Machined prototype
We transferred the design from CAD into metal. The photos show the original cover, the CAD model and the machined prototype, including its internal shape and finished surfaces.
Have a part to develop?
Send the sample or idea and tell us what operating conditions and interfaces matter. We'll discuss what we need to scan, design and build the first prototype.
