Airflow and packaging
Airflow analysis informed the internal geometry. In CAD we worked through the sections, bends and transitions, then matched the flow path to the installation and its interfaces. We considered how the geometry would be manufactured while developing the model.
Preparing the parts for CNC machining
The complex shape required planning tool access to the machined surfaces. We developed the CAM strategy and CNC programs from the CAD model, then used them to manufacture the pipes.
Dyno runs before and after installation
The published Mustang Dynamometer chart shows two runs. Dashed curves show the baseline. Solid curves show the run with the AFTERFIX inlet pipes installed. Red is wheel power and blue is wheel torque.
